Case Study: Chamin Cafe & Wine

Two moods, one site

Chamin is a coffee shop on the first floor of Park Place in Ulaanbaatar that becomes a wine bar at night: affogato and frappe in daylight, a lit wine wall, red velvet, DJ sets and live saxophone after dark. The owners needed a website that showed both faces, listed the menu, and made booking a table simple.

The challenge

The brand is defined by contrast, day and night, and most templates flatten that into one look. The site had to carry a menu in six languages, an atmosphere gallery that sells the evening, and an events section that points to Instagram where the program actually lives. Like its sister venue, it had to be fast on mobile and require zero technical upkeep from the owners.

Our approach

  We structured the homepage as a day-to-night arc: coffee and pastries, the environment, the wine wall and the person who helps you choose, then the evenings.
• Brand color done right
  The signature deep red is used as an accent against warm wood and near-black, matching the room rather than fighting it.
• Six languages and search-ready
  Mongolian, English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian throughout, with a one-tap switcher, hreflang, and a sitemap so each version can rank.
• Static, fast, secure
  Generated pages served through Cloudflare with no CMS or database. Nothing to patch, nothing to hack, nothing to slow down.
• Managed by JDL
  Hosting, monitoring, and content updates on request. When the wine list changes, the owners send a message and it's live the same day.
