Case Study: Khuree Lounge
A six-language website for a fine-dining lounge in Ulaanbaatar, built to feel like the room itself.

Golden mosaics, crystal lighting, and a website that matches
Khuree Lounge sits on the second floor of Park Place in Ulaanbaatar: à la carte dining, a bar and wine list, private events, and live piano evenings under a gold-domed ceiling. It had no website. Guests found it by word of mouth and Instagram, and the owners had no way to show the menu, the room, or how to book a table.

The challenge
The site had to serve Ulaanbaatar's mix of locals and visitors in six languages from day one, Mongolian first, then English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian, and it had to load fast on Mongolian mobile networks. It also had to be honest to the space: dark, warm, and photographic, not a generic restaurant template. The owners wanted a menu page they could hand to guests, a clear path to reservations by phone or messenger, and nothing that would break or need a developer to keep running.

Our approach
- Discovery with the owners
We walked the room, gathered the menu, hours, and photography, and agreed on the story each section should tell: the lounge, the heritage of the building, the food, the bar, and private events. - Six languages by design
Every page reads in Mongolian, English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian with a one-tap language switcher, hreflang tags for search engines, and typography tested for Cyrillic, Hangul, and CJK scripts. - A static build that cannot break
The site is generated as static pages and served through Cloudflare, so there is no CMS to update, no database to patch, and nothing for an attacker to log into. It loads in under two seconds on a phone. - Reservations the way guests actually book
Calls and messenger, not a booking widget nobody in Ulaanbaatar uses. Every section ends with the next step. - Managed by JDL
We host it, monitor it, keep it patched, and make content changes on request, so the owners run a lounge, not a website.
