Know exactly how fast you would be back online after ransomware, a failed server or a flood
We test what you have, design backups the attacker cannot delete, and write the recovery plan down so the first hour of an outage is not spent improvising.

We source & manage. Delivered and supported by the provider you choose. We compare options, coordinate setup and stay your point of contact. You pay the provider, and the provider compensates us. How we work
Who this is for
- Businesses that have backups but have never tried restoring them
- Teams whose backups sit on the same network as the servers
- Owners who need a written continuity plan for an insurer, client or regulator
Backups are not the same as recovery
A backup is a copy. Recovery is getting people working again, and it only counts if it has been tried.
Ransomware encrypts the backups too
Attackers look for backup drives and cloud sync folders and encrypt or delete them first. Immutable backups cannot be changed or erased, even by an administrator account. Read why ransomware can wipe out your backups.
A restore that has never been tested
The backup job says success, but nobody has ever restored from it. The first test should not be during an emergency. See a backup you have never tested is just a guess.
A server dies and the app takes days to rebuild
Restoring files is the easy part. Re-creating the application, the settings and the connections takes much longer without a runbook and a place to run it.
What we do, step by step
Find out what matters
Which systems the business cannot run without, and how long you could be without each. We turn that into recovery time and recovery point targets.
Check what you have
We review your current backups, where they are stored, whether they can be reached from the network, and whether they restore.
Design the protection
Immutable or air-gapped copies, cloud-to-cloud backup for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and replication for the systems that need fast recovery.
Write the runbook
Step-by-step recovery instructions for each failure scenario, with who does what and who to call.
Test and repeat
Restore tests on a schedule and an annual tabletop exercise, because systems change and plans go stale.

Deliverables you can point to
- A list of critical systems with recovery time and recovery point targets
- Backups that cannot be altered or deleted from a compromised account
- Cloud-to-cloud backup for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and key SaaS apps
- A written recovery runbook for each failure scenario
- A tested restore, with the results recorded
- An annual failover tabletop exercise
Timeline
Backups can be improved quickly; replication and full failover take longer.
- The review of current backups is a short first step
- Immutable backups and cloud-to-cloud protection can usually be put in place in stages
- Replication and failover are scoped separately, system by system, and tested before we call them done
What it typically costs
Pure cloud backup: $0.05-0.15 per GB per month.
Full disaster recovery as a service with replicated VMs and runbook: $50-300 per VM per month plus storage.
Most small and mid-size businesses land at $500-3,000 per month all-in.
We size it against your recovery targets.

Common questions about DR & Backup
Isn't this just backups?
Backups are step one. DR adds: a second site (cloud or physical) ready to run your apps, runbooks for every failure scenario, and tested failover. Most companies have backups. Few have DR. The difference is the difference between 'down for hours' and 'down for weeks.'
What's the cost?
Pure cloud backup: $0.05-0.15/GB/mo. Full DRaaS with replicated VMs and runbook: $50-300/VM/mo plus storage. We size against your RTO/RPO — most SMBs land $500-3,000/mo all-in.
How fast can I be back online after ransomware?
With a properly designed DR — same business day. Without one — average is 21 days, with permanent data loss. We design specifically against the ransomware playbook (immutable, air-gapped, tested).
What are RTO and RPO?
Recovery time objective is how long you can be down. Recovery point objective is how much recent data you can afford to lose. They decide how much protection you need and what it costs.
How often should we test restores?
Regularly. At least some test restores on a schedule, and a full exercise at least once a year. Systems change, and a plan that worked last year may not work now.
Do we need DR if our data is in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Probably yes. The provider keeps the service running, but deletion, overwrite and account compromise are still your risk. Cloud-to-cloud backup gives you an independent copy.
Will this help with insurance or compliance questionnaires?
It gives you documented answers: where backups are, how long recovery takes, and when you last tested it. We do not issue compliance certifications.
